Lisbon, 9 March 2011 – Raquel Louçã and Joaquim Quadros are the lucky pair selected from more than one thousand candidates to be Vodafone FM presenters. The pair will share presenting the best of Portuguese and international new music every day between 8:00 and 13:00 and between 17:00 and 22:00, respectively.

For Raquel Louçã, 29, joining Vodafone FM “is a perfect match” and she “could not be more excited”. She has long been a big radio and music fan and sees Vodafone FM as a tremendous challenge and an excellent opportunity to share and continue following the latest music trends.

The male voice, Joaquim Quadros, 23, describes himself as “an ordinary Lisbon guy who is completing his Media Studies course, totally into music, who enjoys life and has always wanted to work in radio”. To him, Vodafone FM has new music and a completely different and innovative positioning, which makes working on the station well worthwhile.

With the arrival of the new presenters on the radio station, and continuing its focus on audience interactivity, Vodafone FM is now launching a “Make your own jingle” competition which will run until 18 March, in which listeners can participate with their ideas for jingles for the station.

To take part, entrants should suggest a jingle at www.vodafone.fm with a text of not more than 160 characters. The most creative jingles will be recorded, broadcast by Vodafone FM and will become a regular part of the station’s programming.

On air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the studios of Media Capital Radios, Vodafone FM can be heard on the 107.2 MHz frequency in Greater Lisbon and on 94.3 MHz in Greater Porto and on www.vodafone.fm throughout the world.
