Vodafone is the first operator in Portugal to sell a 4G device capable of speeds up to 150 Mbps

The first 4G pen that permits download speeds up to 150 Mbps arrives on the Portuguese market today through Vodafone.

The Vodafone Connect Pen K5007 is available in Vodafone shops and the Vodafone online shop for €79.90. This launch price includes a discount of €100 and is valid until 31 December 2012.

Vodafone Portugal’s 4G network, which serves all district capitals, the islands and major urban centres, has supports download speeds up to 150Mbps (the maximum speed possible with current 4G technology) since its launch in March 2012. With this new device, customers of Vodafone’s 4G service will be the first to experience the full potential of this technology, which is now even faster. The devices available to date on the Portuguese market permit a maximum speed of 100 Mbps.

Also starting today, Vodafone Portugal is offering a new 4G price plan with speeds up to 150 Mbps and a promotional monthly charge of €49.90.

This launch reinforces Vodafone’s leadership in 4G technology, enabling it to continue to be the operator with the most complete offer of 4G equipment in Portugal and to maintain its commitment to offering its customers first hand access to the latest technologies.

Prices include VAT at the applicable rate.
