Vodafone Mexefest wins two international awards and launches app giving discounts on ticket purchases
Back again following its success at the 1st edition of the festival, this free app for iPhone and Android smartphones allows users to enjoy to the full the concerts which will enliven the Avenida da Liberdade area in Lisbon on 7-8 December.
This time, in addition to enhancing the entire festival experience, the app (now available from AppStore and Google Play) enables Vodafone Portugal customers to purchase tickets for €35 – an exclusive discount of €5 on the normal retail price of 40 euros. These electronic tickets, which are available in limited quantities, are purchased on and delivered to the customer’s phone. All that is then needed is to validate them in a reader located in the São Jorge Cinema. Vodafone m.Ticket allows users to purchase and use electronic tickets faster and more conveniently than usual.
Integrated with Facebook, the app enables users to create a personalised schedule of concerts they want to attend on the days of the festival and to receive alerts prior to the start of each concert. Users can also check the main news and highlighted events, consult the concert billing filtered by date, venue and artist, access useful information about the festival, including the location and availability of venues in real time, use the augmented reality map, comment on concerts, share photos and check the location of the Vodafone Bus, which provides transport between the various venues, and much more.
