Lisbon, 23 February 2012 – Vodafone today launched an interactive application that for the first time in Portugal provides up-to-date economic information and information on financial markets on television.

Among other features, the ‘ETV Interactive’ application, developed in partnership with Económico TV channel, provides free access to current financial news and economic events, the front pages of Diário Económico newspaper, share prices, international indexes (FTSE 100, IBEX 35, EURONEXT 100 and DOW JONES, among others) and Portuguese indexes (PSI 20 and PSI GENERAL).

The ‘Shares’ area gives details of every share in the PSI 20 index: the transaction price, change (in points and percentage), the opening price, the maximum and minimum prices, and graphics showing the price history for the last month, three months, six months or year, among other data.

The same detailed and updated information is available for the international indexes, including, for example, the share price of all the shares in the index and graphics showing the share price in the last month, three months, six months or year.

This application is free to all customers of Vodafone’s television service and is accessible from the blue button on the remote control (StartApps application menu on the TV).

With economic and market information increasingly sought by users, this launch reinforces Vodafone Portugal’s range of interactive applications in Vodafone Tv Net Voz and provides a unique, distinctive experience that meets the information needs of customers of its television service.
