Vodafone launches new exclusive 4G smartphone – the LG Maximo True HD LTE
Vodafone will tomorrow launch another exclusive 4G smartphone in Portugal – the LG Maximo True HD LTE. This launch increases to three the number of Vodafone smartphones on sale that enable users to benefit from 4G/LTE technology with download speeds up to 100 Mbps – the most complete commercial offer in the Portuguese market.
The LG Maximo True HD LTE is equipped with the Android operating system (version 3.2 Gingerbread) and a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The screen is a 4.5 True HD display that supports a native resolution of 1280 x 720. Another feature is the 8 MP camera with LED flash and 1080p high-definition video capture at 30 frames per second.
In terms of storage capacity, the LG Maximo True HD LTE includes a 16 GB memory card. GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are also available.
The LG Maximo True HD LTE is available from Vodafone shops from tomorrow for 509.90, in the online shop for 499.90 or from 49.90 with a 24-month contract associated with a Best plan and a Best 4G Aditivo. It is also available on special terms for professional and business customers.
As with previous mobile communications technologies, Vodafone is leading the development of 4G in Portugal, offering the market the most comprehensive portfolio of devices readied for this technology – six so far.
After pioneering the launch of the first 4G device on the market in June 2011 (the Vodafone Connect Pen K5005), Vodafone recently launched the first 4G tablet (the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE), the Huawei B593 4G router and the HTC Velocity LTE (a Vodafone exclusive launch) and Samsung Galaxy S II LTE 4G smartphones, which are joined tomorrow by the LG Maximo True HD LTE (another Vodafone exclusive launch).
