Vodafone is one of the first operators in the world to offer 4G Roaming
Starting today Vodafone Portugal customers will be able to make 4G/LTE calls in Spain, Greece, Italy and Romania at no extra cost over current roaming charges. Vodafone customers in those four countries will also be able to access Vodafone Portugal’s 4G network.
4G communications improve user experience of data services as they allow download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps.
Vodafone offers extensive, constantly expanding 4G/LTE coverage and the prices for these communications abroad are identical to current roaming tariffs available to Vodafone customers, i.e. there is no additional cost for the use of the 4G technology.
With this pioneering launch in Portugal, Vodafone is once again demonstrating the advantage of being the world’s largest mobile community, with tangible benefits for its customers, while enhancing its leadership on the fourth-generation of mobile technology.
