Vodafone to sponsor live music at Lisbon Metro stations

From 18 to 21 November, Vodafone FM and the Vodafone Mexefest festival will be sponsoring live music performances in Baixa-Chiado, Terreiro do Paço, Cais do Sodré and Alameda Metro stations. Four of the 16 bands involved will be selected to perform in the Vodafone FM studio at Vodafone Mexefest, which will take place on 28-29 November on the Avenida da Liberdade.

On 18 November, people entering Baixa-Chiado station between 8am and 9am will be able to hear music by Basset Hounds and Los Black Jews. Between 6pm and 7pm it will be the turn of two more bands: Mate and Dizzy (Som Mudo).

During the morning of 19 November in Terreiro do Paço, the music of Cave Story and Lupiter will take wing. During the afternoon, Bearbu and Wild Apes will entertain passers-by with their repertoire.

Homem Bala and Suki Waterhouse will showcase their music on 20 November at Cais do Sodré between 8am and 9am. In the afternoon, those who pass through this station will be able to thrill to the sound of Toulose and Queen & Captain Among the Sailors.

On the last day, it will be the turn of Pista and Billy Lobster to play at Alameda station in the morning, and Big Red Panda and Some Friday Night in the afternoon.

Vodafone Band Scouting is an initiative designed to expose new music projects for Vodafone FM and the Vodafone Mexefest festival as a way of contributing to the promotion of promising new Portuguese bands and artists.
