Vodafone is looking for the best ideas to protect the environment

  • Vodafone Group’s initiative is taking place until the 20th of October
  • The prize is comprised of a five thousand pounds and training at Imperial College London
  • The competition begins in the same week as the United Nations Climate Change Conference

Vodafone Group has just released ‘Future Changers’ – an international competition for young adults between 18 and 30 years old that is looking for the best and most innovative technological ideas to benefit the environment.

The applications will close on October 20 and the Portuguese participants can submit their written or video-proposal through Vodafone Future Changers’ online platform https://careers.vodafone.com/futurechangers.

The ten best ideas will be evaluated by an international judging panel composed by influent people in the fields of innovation, journalism and technology. The winner will receive an award comprised by five thousand pounds, the support of a mentor from Vodafone and the opportunity to attend the three months Techcelarate program from the prestigious Imperial College London, in order to accelerate the project and turn it into a reality.

This initiative reinforces Vodafone Group’s commitment in looking for more and more sustainable solutions for the Planet and begins in the same week as the United Nations Climate Change Conference, where Vodafone is present as one of the Enterprises that signs the agreement regarding the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions. This willingness to do so had already been made public by Vodafone Group in the beginning of the year, when the Company committed to reduce these emissions by 50% until 2025.
