Telecel invests 1.700 million PTE in new switching stations.
Telecel invested around one thousand seven hundred million PTE (8,48 million Euros) in two new call switching stations that started working on May the 12th.
These new stations, placed in Oporto and Portimão, will significantly reinforce capacity and quality of Telecel network, since they co-ordinate all the traffic produced in those areas, thus avoiding calls being switched to other further stations.
Betting in the quality of its cellular network as one differentiating factor, Telecel has been investing strongly in infrastructures allowing to better satisfying the needs of its Customers. As an example we can mention the fact of Telecel being the first operator to install switching stations in Madeira and Azores.
