Telecel Announces Tariff Reduction on National Calls
After tariff reductions implemented by competitor, TMN (who announced tariff reductions on 02 March, retroactive to 01 March), TELECEL is announcing a reduction of tariffs on some aspects of national calls, to take effect on 22 March:
Peak minutes of mobile to mobile calls only on regular tariff plans (not on prepaid plans)
Peak minutes on mobile to fixed tariffs on regular tariff plans and Vitamina T and Vitamina R
Off-Peak minutes on mobile to fixed tariffs on Vitamina T and Vitamina R
TELECEL has altered the length of peak hours and off peak hours
No changes have been made to monthly fees on regular plans or to recharge amounts on pre-paid plans
No changes have been made to Vitamina K or Vitamina P
The impact of the tariff reductions and time changes (see table below) are within company expectations. Even with this level of decrease, TELECEL is still charging a slight premium in the marketplace.
