Vodafone provides teachers with Broadband Fixed ADSL access

Lisbon, 28 November 2007 – As from today, teachers in e-School programmes will be able to opt between Vodafone Portugal’s mobile broadband or fixed ADSL offer on highly advantageous terms.

Vodafone is the first operator to offer broadband fixed ADSL services in connection with e-School programmes, offering teachers very competitive terms for access to its ADSL offer, which provides Internet access speeds of up to 12 Mbps, telephone services without a monthly standing charge and the best rates to mobile networks while retaining their existing phone number.

To benefit from this offer, teachers who are accredited by their school should register on the website at www.eescola.pt. Beneficiaries will be able to purchase a laptop and Vodafone broadband mobile Internet access card or ADSL Router for 150 euros, plus a discount of 5 euros on the standard monthly charges.

By continually extending its offer and customers’ options for access to broadband services, Vodafone has contributed significantly to the development of the Information Society and maintained its position in the vanguard of the promotion and development of broadband in Portugal.
