Vodafone Portugal launches complete mobile Internet offer

Lisbon, 7 November 2007 – Vodafone Portugal today launched a new Mobile Internet tariff that combines three services that up to now have been sold separately: the Aditivo Navegar, for browsing on Vodafone live! and any other Internet site; Vodafone Messenger, which provides access to Microsoft and Yahoo! Messenger services from mobile phones; and Vodafone My Mail, which enables users to access any e-mail account from their mobile phone. Thus, this single tariff brings together three essential Mobile Internet services.

The price for this service is only 9.90 euros a month, with the first month free, corresponding to a discount of approximately 30% on previous prices. Users can subscribe to this new Aditivo on the Mobile Internet channel of the Vodafone live! portal or by sending an SMS to 12345 with the word ‘Internet’.

Vodafone offers a range of handsets that support the three services including the Nokia N95 8GB (available this month), N80, N70, 6280 and 6630 and the Sony Ericsson W910i, V630i and V600i. This range of handsets will shortly be extended. The range of available handsets includes both more recent phones with HTML browsers and more basic phones that will now be able to browse websites that are adapted for viewing on mobile phones. This adaptation of websites is also available on the majority of mobile phones sold by Vodafone.

This offer is part of Vodafone’s major focus on mobile-PC convergence enabling the more popular Internet services to be readily accessed also from mobile phones.
