Vodafone launches new own-brand smartphone with Android 2.2
Lisbon, 27 May 2011 Vodafone Portugal has launched a new smartphone with the Android operating system: the Vodafone 858.
The Vodafone 858 is the third Vodafone-branded smartphone with the Android operating system (following the Vodafone 845 and the Vodafone 945). It comes equipped with version 2.2 (Froyo) and is on sale at 99.90 a very competitive price in the Portuguese market.
With its attractive design, the Vodafone 858 offers easy access to social networks and e-mail via a 3G/HSDPA link or WiFi. It also has a 2.8 inch capacitive QVGA touchscreen, A-GPS, proximity sensor, 2 megapixel camera and FM radio.
This smartphone also comes with a set of Google applications Gmail, Google Maps, Google Navigation and Google Talk which can be easily added to via the link to the Android Market online store.
