Vodafone’s ‘Useful numbers' app tops Apple App Store
Lisbon, 28 September 2011 Vodafone Portugals ‘Useful numbers’ app, available from Android Market and App Store, has quickly become the top download from Apples Portuguese apps store.
This free app enables users to search in a simple and intuitive way for useful phone numbers (hospitals, health centres, clinics, police, taxis, trains, metro, airports, public bodies, pharmacies) near them or elsewhere, using mobile localisation technologies.
The phone numbers are separated into categories with easily identifiable icons and users have the option of phoning the various bodies using one-touch dialling or checking where the body they are looking for is in relation to where they are.
The app also allows users to customise their own useful numbers under the following categories, and to add others: Insurance Companies, Doctors, Lawyers, Mechanics and Home Repairs.
Vodafone Portugal has launched several apps over the years, among them: Vodafone Radar, Vodafone All Posts, Vodafone Mobile TV, Vodafone TV Guide and Vodafone Customer Care.
