Vodafone Portugal has just launched the Vodafone Smart smartphone with an Android operating system geared towards users who do not yet have a smartphone and who want an exceptional performance at a reasonable cost.

Costing just €99.90, or completely free with a 24-month subscription, the new Vodafone Smart is the ideal smartphone for people looking for a good quality/price ratio. It has a 3.2” HVGA touch screen with 320×480 resolution, a 832MHz processor, 32GB memory card slot and internal memory of 512MB, all features usually only found on more expensive telephones.

The Vodafone Smart version 2.3 (Gingerbread) of the Android operating system enables access to over 500,000 Google Play Store applications and a broad set of services and content, among which Google Search, activated by voice, and the most recent news and entertainment, e-mail, contacts, diary and social networks applications.

Special mention must also be made of the integrated 3.2MP camera with LED flash and video recording, assisted GPS (AGPS) technology with mapping and rapid navigation functions, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and the possibility of using the telephone as a hotspot and share the data plan with other devices.

The Vodafone Smart also enables a high degree of customisation, with different coloured detachable covers in 16 possible combinations. As well as three additional covers, the sale pack includes a data cable, stereo earplugs and a 2GB memory card. The launch campaign includes 3 months of free internet.
