Vodafone ends roaming charges in Europe

From today Vodafone is to eliminate roaming charges on phone calls, text messages and data usage in Europe.

All customers who subscribe to the new Vodafone RED plans or convergent packages (TvNetVoz+Mobile) will be able to communicate in Europe at no additional cost, paying only the same charges as in Portugal.

Any Vodafone customer can take advantage of this new offer by subscribing to the new plans and can talk, send text messages and browse without worries, in Portugal and now also in the rest of Europe.

To publicise this new offer Vodafone is to launch an advertising campaign entitled “Power to Travellers” which includes TV, outdoor, radio and digital advertising.

The elimination of roaming charges is valid only in countries of the European Union and is subject to a responsible use policy.
