Vodafone Paredes de Coura returns on 20-23 August 2014 with passes on sale from 21 November
For almost 22 years the iconic festival at Taboão River Beach has been showcasing the best in Portuguese and international music. In 2013 Vodafone introduced a number of unique initiatives, from the festival entrance designed to mirror the natural surroundings, to Vodafone Trashart linking sustainability and art. There were also mobility improvements, with the audience being transported to the festival site in Vodafone Shuttles – with consultation of timetables and GPS localisation via the festival app (iOS and Android). Vodafone also installed a Recharge Centre for mobile phones in the camping area and a Recharge Point in the festival enclosure and provided pedalos, sun loungers and hammocks on the river banks.
As a result of this heavy investment in infrastructure improvements, services and enclosure and campsite security, together with a well thought-out music line-up, Vodafone Paredes de Coura was voted Best Non Urban Festival and Best Campsite by the audience at the first edition of the Portugal Festival Awards. These awards reflect the results of a Marktest survey during the 2013 edition showing an audience satisfaction level above 90%, with respondents expressing a clear intention to return in 2014 and to recommend Vodafone Paredes de Coura to their friends.
Starting on November 21, the first ‘Fan Packs’ will go on sale at FNAC, which include a general pass for the four days of the Vodafone Paredes de Coura festival and an exclusive T-shirt, for only 70 euros. The first confirmed artists will be also announced shortly.
