Vodafone offers up to two years of Amazon Prime Video

  • Vodafone set-top-box and mobile customers can now access TV series and movies available on Prime Video with a promotional offer
  • Offers vary between six and 24 months on selected tariffs
  • Prime Video includes some of the most awarded and popular current series such as The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and The Boys, and sport documentaries like All or Nothing

Vodafone Portugal offers an Amazon Prime Video membership to new and upgrading customers of its television and mobile phone services, providing promotional periods that vary between six and 24 months. Available from today, the offer arrives after Vodafone became, in January, the only Operator in Portugal to make the streaming service available conveniently straight from your TV box.

Available in all of Vodafone’s latest-generation TV boxes – VBox 4K and VBoxPro 4K – new clients to the television service are offered a Prime Video monthly subscription for six or 24 months, depending on the fibre package they subscribe to.

New clients of the mobile service who join the mobile tariffs RED (over 3GB) and RED Infinity will enjoy a 6-month Prime Video offer. New and current Yorn X 10GB clients will also have access to the membership service until June 2021.

Prime Video has a vast catalogue of films and TV series, including some of the most awarded and recognised current series, such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Hunters, The Boys, The Man in the High Castle, The Grand Tour, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Modern Love, and sports documentaries such as All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur Spurs, which features José Mourinho.

Prime Video has been available in Portugal since 2016, and was recently optimised for the national market, making menus and subtitles available in European Portuguese.

Vodafone Tv, the super series television

To mark this launch, Vodafone presents a 360º campaign under the motto ‘Vodafone Tv, the super series television’, with presence in television, digital, and outdoor mediums.

Under the motto “Tv Vodafone, the television of the super series”, this campaign is led by the couple Ana Guiomar and Diogo Valsassina. Once again, we are in Ana and Diogo's living room, while they decide which series to see in their evening. Ana's indecision contrasts with Diogo's clear preference, but they reach consensus thanks to the extensive catalog of content provided by the Amazon Prime Video service.

Developed by Wunderman Thomson, the production is sign by Kripton and the coordination of production Film Broker. Directed by Fred Ferreira, the media planning was handled by Carat.

With the new customer offers, Vodafone further strengthens its leadership role in the vanguard of television provision in Portugal, through a superior user experience enhanced by the best telecommunications network.
